Female of 28 years, fair complexioned with rounded features presented with the following complaints in September 2009 since a day:

  • Colicky pain in upper abdomen radiating to the left side which got worse by pressure and bending.
  • This pain progressed fast and got intensified in the night with hot perspiration; needed to be treated with conventional medicines.
  • Nausea
  • Itching all over the body
  • Weakness more so in the morning on waking up.

On examination she was found to be having severe jaundice, while her pulse and blood pressure were normal. Tongue was clean and on palpation of abdomen there was tenderness in the upper abdomen.

Appetite was low with desire for cold drinks and spicy food. Urine was dark-colored while stools were unsatisfactory and clay colored. She had intolerance to hot weather.

She been married at 25 years was not in good terms with in-laws with much suppressed anger and irritability. She was very obstinate and answered in an uncivilized manner.

She had whooping cough and measles in childhood; and gave history of typhoid 3 months back

Her complete case presentation was analyzed and she was given Chamomilla, and within a span of a month along with few dietary restrictions, she was much better as confirmed by the investigations.
