Mrs. NS, 28 years presented with the complaints of pain in right hypochondrium with nausea since 6 months coming on intermittently worsened by least exertion and pressure, while relieved by lying on left side and rest. She also complained of dysmenorrhoea.

On been examined she was found to have pallor with yellowish discoloration of skin with tenderness in the right hypochondrium. Ultrasonography of the abdomen showed mobile gall stones.

She had cold intolerance. Her appetite and thirst had diminished, but she desired sweets. Stools were unsatisfactory with pale yellow colored urine. Sleep was disturbed due to pains.

She was fearful and lacked self confidence and always remained confused about what to do or not. She was quite fastidious and got angry very easily and behaved cruelly when she was in pains.

Her detailed case analysis leads to the prescription of Anacardium 200. Within 15 days she felt mentally and physically much better. In the next 1 month she kept improving and had no complaints.

Ultrasonography repeated in the next 15 days showed no evidence of mobile gall stones. Thereafter she was perfectly fine in a good mood with no relapses.
