An anxious mother sought treatment from us for her son, a chubby, healthy child of 3 years who was suffering from molluscum contagiosum.
The boy had multiple mollusca on his face, arms and feet since 4 months. Though he did not have any itching, there was a lot of discomfort and the child was cranky and irritable.
The child had marked craving for eggs and mud. His craving for mud was so much so that he used to scratch the wall and eat it.
He was thermally a hot patient with desire to be uncovered. He also had white spots on nails.
On analysis and evaluation of the patient, we prescribed the remedy Calcarea Sulphurica 30, 3 doses, 1 dose every night.
A week later, his mother reported saying that her son had developed a lot of itching all over his body and had become more irritable than before. She was extremely worried because his Nursery school was due to begin within a month.
Few days after that, the child's eruptions had begun to reduce from the face, and itching had also gone down.
The medicines were continued for 6 weeks. By 8 weeks, Molluscum had completely cleared off and health of the child had improved a lot.
