  • Diet: Make sure you get sufficient calcium and vitamins in your diet. Calcium-rich foods include dark green, leafy vegetables, yogurt and milk whereas vitamins can be effectively supplemented by fresh fruits and colored vegetables. A wholesome diet of balanced carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals uplifts the general condition of patient.
  • Food habits: Restrict your intake of caffeine, salt and sugar, especially in the latter half of your cycle. Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
  • Exercise: Routine exercising, yoga and meditation help in reducing anxiety and decrease severity of PMS.
  • Be calm: Focusing on the positive aspects of life helps one to stay calm and happy. Remember, stress will only worsen your situation.
