A 42 year old male patient came with chief complaints of soreness in the muscles and joints of the whole body. He was diagnosed with gout 1 year ago and was taking medications to lower his uric acid levels. However they did not provide any relief.
He walked very clumsily as his toes were very painful and sore. There was swelling and some redness of the joints. Knees were affected too, and they felt stiff. He was undergoing tremendous pain due to this.
He was prescribed Lithium Carb which was repeated at frequent intervals. After a week, he came reporting almost 50 percent improvement in his complaints. He continued medicines for 6-7 months, and he had totally stopped the conventional medications.
