A 65 year old retired male, was diagnosed with peptic ulcers had the chief complaints of weak digestion, fullness and distension of abdomen since last 4 years. There was an empty feeling in stomach which would be relieved after eating something. Eructations, nausea and vomiting were experienced frequently.

He also suffered from severe burning in the chest which was relieved after eating. Pains were felt as if dull plug were pressed into intestines. Rumblingand griping pain in the abdomen.

He was mentally weak, forgetful and very indecisive in taking actions. He would get depressed easily. He would often suffer from nervous dyspepsia.

Based on his case history, he was prescribed Anacardium. After 2 weeks, the burning had significantly reduced and he had felt a lot better. After 2-3 months, he was better mentally as well. His digestion had improved and he could eat better.
