A young girl, 19 years, suffered from frequent dizziness since last 2 years. Vertigo was experienced on rising suddenly, and she felt the need to lean against something or she will fall. She often felt tired and weak. She always felt like keeping herself occupied as resting would increase her problems. She was anaemic as well, and her haemoglobin levels were 9 mg/dl. She was prescribed Ferrum Met. After 2 weeks, her vertigo had reduced significantly and she did not experience many fainting attacks. After 3 months, her haemoglobin levels were checked and it increased to 11 mg/dl which was a remarkable improvement. She continued medicines for another 9 months after which she was completely alright.
