Allergic rhinitis should be prevented as far as possible. The best way is to avoid
the allergen that causes it. But allergy
prevention is easier said than done. Allergens, such as dust mites,
pollens can be hard to spot and can breed in even the cleanest house.
Some simple allergy prevention
measures to be followed by individuals include:
- Regularly cleaning furniture, window planes, floor, cushions, soft toys will avoid the spread of allergens.
- Sometimes, exposure to flakes of animals’ (pets) dead skin, saliva and urine can also cause allergies. Care must be taken to especially clean those places that your pets sit / sleep on.
- Most people are affected during spring and summer months because most trees and plants pollinate during these times. Although tedious, it is advisable to check weather reports regularly. Avoid visiting grassy and windy areas.
- Another important factor in allergy prevention is that if you have been outdoors, make sure to change your clothes once you come home.
