- Cholesterol- It is a substance found in all animal tissues, blood, bile, and animal fat which increases the risk of heart diseases
- Bile- It is an alkaline fluid which helps in digestion of fat and secreted by liver.
- Common Bile Duct- It is a tube-like structure formed from the union of 3 other ducts: one from the liver, one from the gallbladder and one from the pancreas. It opens into the small intestine, wherein it deposits the bile and pancreatic juices for digestion.
- Cystic Duct- It is a tube-like structure that originates from the gallbladder and carries bile.
- Liver Cirrhosis- It is a disease of the liver characterised by irreversible and permanent scarring of the components of the liver due to various causes, the commonest being chronic alcoholism and Hepatitis B infection.
