Preventions

Rheumatoid Arthritis cannot really be prevented, however advancement of the disease can be slowed or stopped by measures as-

  • Early detection: Consult a physician if you develop any joint affection like pain, swelling and tenderness. The more the flare-ups of pain and swelling, higher are the chances of deformity.
  • Regular exercise: Strengthen your joints and muscles with regular walks or any form of exercise. Stronger joints can fight Rheumatoid Arthritis better.
  • Rest: Adequate rest should be taken whenever needed. A balance should be maintained between rest and exercise so that none exceed the other.
