- Boys are usually more likely to suffer from Behavioural Disorder
- Difficult birth history like premature birth, complicated pregnancies, low birth weight
- Children who are more emotionally sensitive.
- Those children who are aggressive, unmanageable
- Lack of parental supervision & discipline
- Child abuse or neglect
- Bad family environment or dysfunctional families
- It is also more common in children who have witnessed parental divorce, cruel environment at home, domestic violence, substance abuse, poverty.
- Low socioeconomic status can lead to poor parenting and poor discipline at home
- It is also common in children who already have learning disabilities.
