Diaper Dermatitis may trouble both you & your little one. If not treated on time, it can put the health of your child at risk.
- Pain: Diaper dermatitis can cause itching, irritation and pain. It can make them irritable and baby may cry frequently.
- Infection: Pathogens may enter the skin surface easily and cause infection which may spread to surrounding structures. Warm and moist buttock surface provides perfect breeding ground for bacteria and other organisms.
- Necrotizing fasciitis: Rarely, from the skin break, severely dangerous organism called GABHS (group A beta haemolytic streptococci) may penetrate inside the body and cause serious infection called Necrotizing fasciitis. It may require surgical debridement.
