Some conditions which are more or less similar to Lichen Planus -
- Leukoplakia : A condition where white patch or plaque develops inside the cheeks and do not go away on rubbing.
- Oral Candidiasis : Fungal infection of oral cavity, also known as thrush.
- Atopic Dermatitis : A type of long lasting eczema which makes the skin red and itchy.
- Psoriasis : A chronic auto-immune skin disease which makes the skin red, itchy and scaly.
- Eczema : A chronic skin disease in which skin becomes rough, patchy with bleeding and itching.
- Lupus Erythematosus : An inflammatory disease where scaly patches form on the skin.
- Pemphigus Vulgaris : Rare but painful condition where blisters forms inside the cheeks and on the skin.
- STDs : A sexually transmitted disease which can cause similar looking rashes or patches in both males and females.
- Hives : Rash with intense itching also called as Urticaria.
- Ringworm : A fungal infection with circular red ring like rashes on skin which is highly contagious in nature.
