Do’s
- Earlier the treatment is received, the better it is. It may prevent years of discomfort and sufferings. Hence seek prompt treatment.
- Cultivate habit of visiting toilet at same time daily to form habit.
- Drink a glass of lemon juice with honey every morning to stimulate bowel movement.
- Consume fiber rich diet.
- Drink at least 10-12 glasses of water daily.
- Practice daily exercise religiously. Lead an active life.
Don’ts
- Avoid overuse of laxatives.
- Do not blindly use medical/ herbal products which may contain certain products that may damage the colon in the long run.
- Avoid dehydrating products like colas, alcohol and caffeinated products.
