- Colonic inertia: A condition in which the nerves or muscles of the colon do not work normally and the contents of the colon are not propelled through the colon normally.
- Pelvic Floor Dysfunction: Condition in which the muscles of the lower pelvis that surround the rectum does not work.
- Barium Enema: It is a type of X-Ray liquid barium is inserted through the anus to fill the rectum and colon which in turn outlines the colon on taking X-ray. Any abnormal growth or tumor is detected with this test.
- Defecography: A modification of the barium enema examination which examines the process of defecation by taking X-Ray while the patient defecates the barium.
