Following conditions may precipitate severe crying in baby:
- Hunger cry
- Gastrointestinal disorders - Volvulus, intussusception, GERD
- Foreign Bodies
- Diaper rash
- CNS manifestations
- Ear infections
- Traumas like fracture or sprains
- Other causes of excessive crying like strangulated hernia, testicular torsion etc. need to be ruled out by a thorough physical examination.
