- Coccydynia: It is pain in the coccyx also known as tail bone. This condition is very common in women and arises from sitting for a prolonged time or having a sedentary life. This puts much pressure on the coccyx leading to pain.
- Lumbar compression fracture: Lumbar compression can occur due to excessive pressure on the lumbar vertebrae. Osteoporosis is the most common cause for lumbar compression fracture and is known to affect post-menopausal women.
- Mechanical Backache: Most of the population experience lower back pain at some point during their lives. It is also called nonspecific back pain as it has no known cause. Symptoms are usually mild and are relieved with rest, analgesics and back support.
- Ankylosing spondylosis: It is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the locomotor system and has a genetic predisposition. The most common symptom is lower back pain with radiation. Mainly sacro iliac and spinal joints are affected. This kind of spondylosis occurs at a younger age and is more common in males.
