Some conditions which are more or less similar to Ovarian Cyst are-
- Ovarian Cancer- Ovarian cancer is cancer of ovary. There are no specific symptoms in early stages. Certain vague warning signs are abdomen fullness, bloating and dull pain in lower abdomen. These symptoms are common with Ovarian Cyst. Women after 40 must be screened for Ovarian Cancer for early detection.
- Pelvic Inflammatory disease- It is the inflammation of the uterus, fallopian tubes or ovaries. It may lead to scar formation and adhesions. It may also lead to infertility.
- Irritable bowel syndrome- A condition that causes bouts of diarrhea, constipation and abdominal cramping, lower abdominal pain.
- Premenstrual Syndrome- Here women encounter severe pelvic pain, bloating, nausea . before onset of menses (in latter half of cycle) and are relieved by onset of flow.
