- Family support: Treatment begins at home first. Unconditional love, care and genuine affection gives much required moral support to patient. Give time to them and listen to their fears. PROBLEMS WHEN SHARED ARE HALF CURED.
- Medication: Anti anxiety medicines like Alprazolam, Clonazepam, and Lorazepam are used in conventional method of treatment for Panic attacks. Sedatives are also used in few cases, though they are extremely dependence causing. Antidepressants are also used in few cases. (Do not ever indulge in self medication as it may have grave effects).
- Psychotherapy: Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is found to be effective in many people. CBT is a form of counselling therapy and it focuses on modifying one's outlook towards problems faced and rationally dealing with them. It is very crucial line of treatment for Panic attacks.
- Food: Certain studies have revealed that nutritional deficiencies may also contribute to Panic attacks. Hence, vitamin and mineral supplements can be of great benefit.
- Social support: Ask for help whenever it is required. It is not a sign of weakness.
- Lifestyle changes: Proper exercise and healthy, balanced and stable lifestyle aid in treatment for Panic attacks.
