It is proved that there is no direct link of diet with Vitiligo. Yet, the following pointers may help:
- Consume balanced diet of carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, fats etc. This will boost up immunity and general well being.
- Avoid sour food, citrus fruits, lemons, etc. Few research studies have shown flaring of Vitiligo after their consumption.
- Avoid having foods with artificial food colors, preservatives, etc.
- Include vitamin B12 and folic acid rich food like green leafy vegetables, spinach, carrots, garlic, cabbage, etc.
- Avoid fried foods.
