Lab tests and investigations are rarely required to diagnose Epistaxis. In certain severe conditions following tests are done:
- Full blood count of CBC
- Coagulation Studies (Bleeding and clotting time, Prothrombin, partial thromboplastin.)
- Renal function and Liver function Tests for systemic illnesses
- Imaging studies like CT scan and MRI may be rarely indicated in cases where a malignancy or growth is suspected.
